Our End-User Program for Escape Systems is dynamic and informative. It is designed to build the students confidence in their ability to deploy the system under extreme conditions. Upon successful completion of this class, the authority having jurisdiction will be provided with digital copies of training records, including individual students competency checklist, so they may authorize their members to carry the systems.

This program will be an intensive training course and will include the end user training program with emphasis on anchoring tactics, egress tactics and real life situational product usage. Train-the-Trainer candidates will also learn proper belay techniques and have to prove belay competency prior to belaying other students.

Not sure what escape system to purchase? Contact us to try them out. We will supervise and allow you to bail out with a variety of escape systems we have in house. CTR does not sell any of this equipment and will be there to help you in what works best with your gear, harnesses and more while we provide a safe way to evaluate the systems.

Students will learn the principles and tactics of thermal imagers. Starting in the classroom a discussion of thermal imaging and currently available imagers will take place, followed by using the thermal imagers with training props and leading to using the thermal imagers in live burns.

This course will focus on using the search rope to assist from large area searches to RIT scenarios. Students will learn about the benefits and pit falls of rope assisted searches, and learn to enhance their communication skills on the fire ground.

Elevator Operations and Emergencies will make firefighters and responders aware of the hazards associated with elevators operations, working with elevators at structural fires, other associated elevator emergencies, and elevator rescue.

Aerial Operators Course will focus on the basics of aerial and tower ladder operations and take into account the tactical decision making required for each type of apparatus. Topics include: Positioning and placement, short jacking, emergency procedures, tip loads, improvised standpipe operations, master stream operations, vehicle handling, turntable placement, stabilization options, tip/bucket placement, fine tuning the 3 basic aerial operation functions.

Firefighter 1
6 - 16 Students
Regardless of the waterway you operate on, and your own members experience operating a recreational pleasure boat, a Fire Boat requires a precision skill set and a crew that is well trained and prepared in an emergency. This course prepares a crew to work together and learn to operate the boat, communicate on it and perform common skill sets that fire boats are often called for. From handling medical emergencies, to towing other craft, and operating a fire boat with a fire pump running, all students will be challenged regardless of their experience. Department authorized / basic water rescue recommended and recreational boater safety training.
4 – 6 students per boat
This course will provide the student with the core content required to ensure safe flight operations, including all phases of flight from mission planning to post-mission documentation and record keeping. Instructors will review the student’s documentation daily.
FAA Part 107
FAA Part 107 Certification
2 – 12 students depending on the number of available UAS Platforms
This course will provide the student updates and reviews of current FAA and operational recommendations, and be focused heavily on flight applications, flight time to include multiple types of autonomous missions, and basic post-processing techniques. Mission planning to post-mission documentation and record keeping will be reinforced with the student’s documentation reviewed by instructors daily.
The focus will be on the use of drones in search and rescue and in payload delivery for rescue.
