The Petzl PPE examination protocol not only ensures the effectiveness of PPE for work-at-height scenarios but can also be applied to similar equipment from other manufacturers.

Our new three-day PPE Competent Person Training Course is designed for professionals working at height, including tower climbers, rescue teams, and arborists. Participants will learn to competently examine and manage PPE using the Petzl protocol, ensuring safety and compliance in their operations.

The PPE Competent Person Training Course covers essential topics, including:

• Risk assessment and decision-making
• Current legislation regarding PPE management
• Responsibilities of employers and PPE inspectors
• Essential tools and work environment for PPE examination
• Practical skills for identifying defects and maintaining PPE

Course Details:

• Duration: 3 Days  
• Time: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (24 hours)  
• Includes: Handout materials and certificate  
• Price: per student (2-student minimum, 6-student maximum)

Training Location Requirements

To host a successful PPE Inspection course, we ensure that facilities meet specific requirements, including:

• Access to the facility from 7 AM to 5 PM
• Suitable classroom space with adequate lighting and furniture
• Electronic accessibility, including high-speed Wi-Fi and power outlets
• Health and safety provisions, such as first aid kits and potable water
